The Golden Vision 2030 planning process officially began March 11, 2009. Nearly 150 citizens of all ages participated in hands-on activities, such as labeling their "most sacred place in Golden" on a large map. Golden Vision 2030 is a joint project with the Orton Family Foundation, a nonprofit group that helps small towns and cities incorporate their values into city planning.
