Project Goals

• Apply traditional and innovative methods to engage as many residents and as broad a cross-section of the community as possible
• Use information from community outreach events to articulate and develop a broadly supported values-based community vision
• Update and complete neighborhood plans based on community heart and soul and values identified through storytelling and visioning
• Develop and adopt a Golden Vision 2030 Plan, supplemental code, policy and capital improvement plan to achieve 2030 Vision
• Direct public and private efforts, including new policies and investment, to actions that result in quantifiable progress toward the community vision
• Revise Golden’s Strategic Plan and Downtown Character Plan
• Update Golden’s Comprehensive Plan based on Neighborhood Plans and Downtown Character Plan
