CMPartnersWebSlider_300x208.jpgThe Orton Family Foundation is proud to announce the launch of a national CommunityMatters partnership, including Orton and six other leading community building organizations.

The newly formed partnership is working to build stronger local civic infrastructure in cities and towns across America. The partners champion the belief that people have the power to solve their community’s problems and shape its future. CommunityMatters builds connections, provides education and inspires action at the local level.

The collective impact of collaborating with like-minded organizations is a key way for the Foundation to advance its Heart & Soul Community Planning approach nationwide.

“We’re thrilled to see the CommunityMatters partnership come to fruition,” said Bill Roper, President and CEO of the Orton Family Foundation. “With the partners, we’ve built an alliance that actively collaborates to address the complexities of 21st-century society. We know that our collective impact will far exceed what any one of us can accomplish individually. Each partner brings distinct perspectives, talents and networks; we couldn’t be more excited to join in a common cause with these esteemed organizations.”

The CommunityMatters partners are the Orton Family Foundation, Deliberative Democracy Consortium, Grassroots Grantmakers, National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation, New America Foundation, Project for Public Spaces, and Strong Towns.
